And the Mountains Shall Bring Peace to the
People
This was the theme of the Way of the Cross Shrine which was originally located
behind the old Church building, just east of the junction of Highways 93 & 95.
The Shrine was a very popular place for tourists as well as locals. The beauty and
tranquillity of the mountain setting, combined with the inspirational theme of the Way of
the Cross provided many people with a memorable, uplifting experience.
When the new property was donated for construction of a new Church, and the old property
sold; the Shrine had to be removed from the original site.
